Text Types and Purposes:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.1.1
Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or name the book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply a reason for the opinion, and provide some sense of closure.

Write informative/explanatory texts in which they name a topic, supply some facts about the topic, and provide some sense of closure.

Students are writing paragraphs this week! They use this poster to help them come up with a topic, main idea, and details. They are building stamina to increase their independence in the writing process! Students are learning to pre-write, draft, revise/edit, and publish their writing.
